It is time for a new challenge at Just Add Ink and here is the lovely inspiration picture we have to work with:
And here is my card:
When I saw the beautiful bouquet of summery flowers my eyes focused on Hot Pink and green... a little obsession with Melon Mambo and Wild Wasabi, I know, and then of course The Cheerful Treat DSP!!!
I have seen this little dress made with the scallop circle die on the internet and wanted to make my version of it. I could not resist to using one of my favorite DSP's, Cheerful Treat (along with Mocha Morning :-). I made sure I got a few packs of this before it retired for my personal stash. I love the wild wasabi and melon mambo combo and those little flowers are to die for!)
After I cut the DSP with the scallop die i folded it kind of 3/4 and then just snipped it, no measuring, and it turned out pretty good. I added a layer of the Eyelet Border (this was a little tedious as it had to be cut in 4-5 pieces and arranged underneath to give the impression of a semi circle), a bit of Rose Red 1/4" Grossgrain ribbon and a couple of Bitty Shapes flowers and voila, a gorgeous little card.
I created a little window with the scallop punch and added the sentiment inside! Saw that recently at a fellow demonstrator and really liked the look!
This is another version on blue that:
I went with the left option: Circles, Blue, Floral :-)
Supplies Used (all SU unless notified):
Wild Wasabi, Melon Mambo, Bashful Blue, Whisper White card stock
Cheerful Treat DSP (retired 2011-2012 hostess pack)
Itty Bitty Punch Pack, Scallop Circle and Circle punch
Big Shot and Scallop Circle Die
Eyelet Border (retired)
Pearls, green ribbons and from stash.
Hope you like it,
Hugs,
Renate
