Hi,

Well, it seems to be true that I either write a few posts in a row or I don't write any for ages....Being more consistent should have been on my new year resolution list. But life and kids get in the way....

Anyway, this was probably worth the wait.

One of my really good friends, Sina, is having her third girl in a few weeks. I had no idea what to get her, because, really, what do you get for someone who already has 2 other girls??? I am sure she still has things in her cupboards that her girls never wore or wore a couple of times.....and toys, really? I don't think she would appreciate the clutter :-)

Well, I thought I would make her baby announcement cards. So I asked her what colours she would like and what kind of image and this is what I came up with! I was IN LOVE! I said to her that if I was pregnant I would think twice before actually giving them to her. I liked them that much! Well, seeing as I am not pregnant, and even if, there would be a 50% 50% chance of needing the pink and purple colours, I reluctantly gave her the cards.......I was super happy she liked them! I just hope she gets the time to actually mail them! It's busy enough with 2, let alone adding a baby to that mix.

And here is the inside:

Hope you like these cute Baby cards, I know I really enjoyed making them!

Hugs,
Renate

Cute Little Baby Tags

Hi,

Yet another day with 2 posts...so, this is me, it's either 2-3 posts a day or none for ages! I should try to be more consitent....Should be on my list for 2013 of things to get done!

This will be a quick post, I just wanted to post these cute little baby tags I made for a friends baby shower. Unfortunately I was unable to make it, but the little cuties did!

I used the Ciao Baby Set from the Spring Catalogue and the Two by Two stamp with Noah's ark. This has been my go-to stamp for babies recently! The last one I did for my sister in law in England was coloured with Copics, and it turned out GREAT! This time I simply did not have the time! For those of you that know Copics, you know it can take up to 1hr to colour one image! And for those of you that have not coloured with Copics before, I have 3 things to say:

1. Yeap, it seriously does take that long! All that blending takes ages to get perfect...I'm still not there yet, but getting more practice

2. Where have you been??

3. Seriously, don't get into them, they are EXPENSIVE! Trust my (my husband's) advice, your husband will thank you! Mine is seriously really supportive and wants to make me happy! Love you hon! (I know he reads my posts) You're awesome, and yes I do really need them! ALL of them

Now, I digress, where was I? Oh yes, the baby tags!

Hugs and hope you like the cuties :-)

Some of the latest baby cards I made for friends that have been blessed with a little bundle of joy :-) (well, I should hope they are all bundles of joy!).

I will only list the stamp set/wheel used for each one as it would take me too long to have a proper list of supplies used for all of the cards. If you want any more info on a particular card, just email me and I will try to remember.

"Washday" Wheel

For the Baby Pram I used circle punches or various sizes Stamp Set is "Fabulous Phrases"

Retired SU set, not sure of the name...
For the next 2 I used "Bundle of Joy"

 "Little Princess"

"Two by two" WITH COPICS

 "Baby Prints"

Hope you like them. And if you ever need any cards, invites or any other paper crafts, or you know someone that does, I am always available for special orders!

Hugs,
Renate

Hi,

I feel I am really blessed to have a loving and supportive husband that puts up with my hobby, actually make that addiction :-). I love being able to stay home with the kids and have the time at night to make my cards and little paper projects. I really don't know how those girls that work and juggle kids and lunches and homeworks even have time to play with paper.

Anyway, I recently have decided to take Jamie's (my loving supportive husband above mentioned :-) advice and try and do a little more than just play with paper. Well, besides scheduling some classes to teach stamping techniques, I decided I would try and teach officially at a craft store near my house.

I finally went MEMORIES LIVE ON in Cupertino, on DeAnza Blvd and talked to the lovely owner, Vivian, and showed her some of my projects; she said she could schedule some classes for october! Woo Hoo!! I am SO grateful for the opportunity and SO excited! Can't wait to start and hope to meet a lot of paper addicted girls along the way :-))). So many beautiful things in her store to play with!

Vivian decided on some classes using punches and cut outs to make various things. This is one of the things I really LOVE to work with, as the finished project always WOWS and it is not that difficult to make (once you take the time to look at how it's made).

I will be teaching 2 classes to start with, a Wedding/Birthday/Baby & Kids class and a Christmas Class. Never to start on those Christmas cards right?

So this is what I have been so busy with for the last week or so, and I can show you some of the cards I made.
These ones will be for the Wedding/Birthday/Kids class:

I have been really busy today with putting together the instructions for some of these cards. Some are self explanatory (almost...with a little bit of observation) and some are a little more complicated. I find it  a lot harder to explain what I am doing than actually do it, so this was a little challenging for me. ALways easier doing I think. Anyway, the instructions are all done and super proud or myself for putting it on paper.

Well, thats about it for tonight, hope like my latest projects, and if you are around Cupertino, keep your eye on the Calendar Page at Memories Live On to see my upcoming classes.

Hope this post inspires you to try some new ideas :-)
Hugs,
Renate

Hi,

I have a double post tonight, one was meant to go on last night, seeing as I did the card then, but like I mentioned before still trying to adjust to school mum schedule and midnight came too soon for my taste and I postponed. But that means double the treat tonight!
